What is MARAFW?
MARAFW is custom firmware designed to optimize the individual chip settings of Bitcoin miners, improving their performance and efficiency while stabilizing operations. It also allows for better power consumption management and greater control over the mining hardware.
What features does MARAFW offer?
MARAFW offers several key features to optimize Bitcoin miners: It increases hash rate while maintaining optimal efficiency, allows quick auto-tuning or manual customization of settings for targeted performance, and provides options for overclocking to boost bitcoin production or underclocking for peak efficiency. Additionally, MARAFW includes Intelligent Thermal Protection to prevent overheating, thereby protecting the longevity of miners.
Which mining hardware models, power supply units (PSUs), and control boards (CBs) does MARAFW support?
MARAFW supports most Antminer S19, S21, and T21 series. It works with all Bitmain stock control boards and the MARA UCB 2100. For power supplies, it supports any Bitmain stock PSU and third-party PSUs compatible with Bitmain's firmware. If you encounter compatibility issues, please contact our support team.
Supported Miners:
- S19
- S19J
- S19 Pro
- S19J Pro
- S19 XP
- S19 Pro+
- S19K Pro
- S21
- T21
Which mining pools is MARAFW compatible with?
There are no limitations on which mining pools can be used with MARAFW. You can configure multiple pools using the dashboard or using common mining management tools such as Foreman or BTC Tools.
How do I install MARAFW?
The installation procedure depends on the control board type. Xilinx, AMLogic, BeagleBone, and Cvitek boards can be updated over the air (OTA). SD card installations are an option for Xilinx and BeagleBone boards. Please follow our step-by-step guide for detailed instructions.
Note: Due to hardware limitations of the CVctrl control boards, a specialized MaraCV card is required to be installed on the control board first, before continuing with the installation. Alternatively, an OTA installation can be performed, but each miner hard reboot will restore the stock firmware. For large installations the MARAFW team can provide an automated solution for reinstallation after a hard reboot is detected.
